Mount Vernon-Anacortes Ranked #3 In the Nation in CNNMoney.com's 2006 Real Estate Guide!    Mount Vernon and Anacortes home prices are going up rapidly. We’re in the 3rd best home market in the Country! Only Panama City, Florida and Wenatchee, Washington are forecast to do better than the Mount Vernon market over the next 12 months according to CNN-Money.    WOW!!    The Mount Vernon-Anacortes housing market is predicted to grow at 14.5% in the coming 12 months. For the rest of the United States overall, the same forecast expects just 5% growth.    All of these gains are built on sound economic fundamentals. Job growth in the area was 3% last year-double the Nation’s average.    Population growth has also been nearly twice the National average. Much of the increase has been from well-educated higher income professionals ready, willing and able to spend more money on homes.    Summed-up, all of this screams out that we are in one of the best housing markets in the Country!    If you own a home, Congratulations!
